Data Translation Announces High Speed, Simultaneous USB Module with 4 Outputs

MARLBORO, Mass., – May 10, 2006 – Data Translation announces the DT9836-06-4-OEM, the newest member of the ground breaking DT9836 Series of simultaneous, multifunction data acquisition modules for USB 2.0. The DT9836-06-4-OEM allows the user to generate highly accurate arbitrary waveforms on up to 4 output channels at throughput speeds of 500 kHz each.

Great care has been taken in the design of the DT9836-06-4-OEM to minimize the glitch energy, resulting in an ability to create extremely smooth waveforms. Standard waveforms such as sine, triangle, and square waves are easily produced by loading the output memory and triggering them synchronously or separately.

Key Features: All subsystems operate synchronously at 36 MHz

6 simultaneous single ended, 16-bit analog inputs at 225 kHz per channel
Four 16-bit D/A converters for deglitched waveform generation of 500 kHz each
16 digital input and 16 digital output lines for external event synchronization
Two 32-bit counter time channels offer flexible clocking and triggering
Three quadrature decoders allow determination of X/Y positioning and rotation

Software
The DT9836-06-4-OEM ships with the Data Acquisition Omni CD, which includes device drivers for Windows 2000/XP, an evaluation version of DT Measure Foundry™, Data Translation's test and measurement application builder, and several additional ready to measure applications. For maximum flexibility the DT9836 Series operates under prominent software applications including LabVIEW® and Visual Basic.
