- Evaluation Engineering Magazine has announced Data Translation as the
winner of the Readers' Choice Award in two separate product categories:
data acquisition and software. The Readers' Choice awards are presented
annually by Evaluation Engineering Magazine and are chosen exclusively
by the readers. Data Translation is the first company to have its
products selected by the readers in two separate categories.
The
Data Acquisition award was given to Data Translation's DT9832 Series of
multifunction data acquisition modules for USB 2.0. The series offers
up to four channels of analog input at throughput speeds up to 2.0 MHz
per channel as well as two 16-bit analog outputs for waveform
generation at 500 kHz per channel. This series also includes 16 digital
input and 16 digital output lines for external event synchronization,
two 32-bit counter timer channels, and three quadrature decoders for
determining X/Y positioning and rotation.
Data Translation also
won honors in the Software category with its quickDAQ ready-to-measure
software application. This real-time data collection and analysis
package plots, analyzes, and saves data without programming. It
acquires high-speed analog signals simultaneously and directly to disk
at up to 2.0 MHz/channel and operates with any DT-Open Layers for
.NET-compatible USB or PCI device. It outputs acquired data to other
applications such as DT Measure Foundry®, Microsoft Excel, and MATLAB®
for post-acquisition analysis capability.
